Messe Frankfurt Rus made this difficult decision after a deep analysis of the current situation, including negotiations with partners, fairground management, Russian and foreign participants.
Today the health of each person came to the fore, and a ban on mass events has an absolute sense, we fully understand and support it. Despite some concessions regarding the self-isolation regime in some cities and countries, there is still a high probability of a second wave of a pandemic in the fall season. In addition, the continuing prohibition on the entry of foreign citizens to the territory of the Russian Federation (about 60% of the exhibitors are foreigners), as well as other limitations due to the epidemiological situation in Russia and in the world, affect on quality of event preparation.
"We know how much effort and resources exhibitors put into fair preparation. A high degree of uncertainty and the impossibility of planning forced us to take this difficult decision now, so the participants were able to adjust their plans for the fall season in advance", says Katerina Tydykova, Show Director of Heimtextil Russia.
Our aim in this challenging period is to provide the best possible support to the market players in this fall fair season. Project team is currently working on an alternative solution for this year, which we hope will become a useful tool for exhibitors to represent themselves and collections. The announcement will be done in a separate newsletter till the end of June.
Taking this opportunity, the management of Messe Frankfurt Rus and Heimtextil Russia team, sincerely thank everyone involved in the preparation of the exhibition for their understanding, support and positive attitude.
